-Facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning to promote the success of all students that is shared and supported by the school community-
After only four days in the Educational Leadership program I experienced a moment where I suddenly saw leadership through a different lens. It was then that I began to realize that effective leadership does not need to come from a position but instead disposition. Our disposition shows our tendency to act in a specific way. This understanding is important in my development in Strategic and Community/Political Leadership. When I commit to focus on my disposition rather than any position I may hold, I will form collaborative relationships with colleagues, parents, and community members. I will also be focused on valuing ethical decisions and action in our educational community.

As a growing educational leader I am deepening my understanding of balanced leadership and the importance in emphasizing responsibilities to enhance the effectiveness of leadership. I created this artifact as evidence of my understanding by relating it to the implementation of data teams. This artifact serves as evidence of my understanding of strategic leadership in order to facilitate the development, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning to promote success for all students that is shared and supported by the school community. |
As a developing educational leader, I am beginning to understand balanced leadership at a much deeper level. I created this artifact as my evidence in understanding first order and second order change and how the 21 responsibilities and leadership actions play into the outcome received. This artifact is able to show my growth in strategic leadership through the understanding of how to effectively support a vision for success for all students through the development and implementation of a new curriculum. |
As a way to strengthen my educational leadership skills and continue my professional learning, I attended two days of Adaptive Schools Training with Dr. Bess Scott. As part of the training, I developed a deeper understanding to collaborative thinking through the seven collaborative norms. Through this learning process I was able to highlight a personal goal for myself as I continue to grow as an educational leader. I included this document as evidence of my reflective thinking and goal setting to demonstrate my organizational and strategic leadership. This will help me form collaborative working relationships with staff, families, district personnel, and community members. |
Using the work of Douglas Reeves in his book, The Learning Leader, I designed this document to map the leadership for learning framework that could be found within a school building. Through strategic leadership, this document can assist an administrative team in supporting the processes for continuous school improvement. It can allow a team to see areas they may need to increase their understanding in order to increase their results. I included this piece as evidence of my learning in how to focus school improvements for better results. |
