-Ensuring management of the organization, operations, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment-
I have had the opportunity to strengthen my skills and deepen my understanding of the teacher appraisal and evaluation process as part of the Danielson Framework. I created the artifact as a way to show my understanding of the importance of observing for clear evidence according to all of the four domains of professional practice. This artifact is evidence of my strength in organization leadership through participation of professional growth and development through the teacher appraisal process.
As a developing leader I have began thinking on a deeper level about what effective instruction is and the variety of components that are involved. As evidence of my learning on what we look for in effective instruction, I worked with a small group to develop a list of interview questions that are based on what we believe the components of effective instruction are. I also reflected on what I would be looking for as an instructional leader to create an environment that is conducive to student learning and professional growth. This artifact is an example of my growth in organizational leader to best recruit school personnel with attention to equity and student learning.
I spent a portion of my internship attending both a continuous improvement and adaptive schools training. I took what I learned at both and created a simple agenda format for collaborative professional learning groups. I included this artifact as evidence of my organization and strategic leadership. I understand the importance of participation in or development of activities outside of the classroom and work to develop, articulate, and implement a stewardship of a vision of learning. |

As an emerging leader and teacher mentor, I am deepening my understanding of the teacher evaluation process by utilizing strategies in order to best collect effective evidence during an observation. Through the leadership opportunity with Lincoln Public Schools Learning Partners, I have developed a form to organize notes during an informal observation. I have included this artifact as evidence of my learning in effective teacher evaluation. This artifact is an example of my organizational leadership through the facilitation of support and performance appraisal of teaching. |
In order to serve as an organizational leader, I worked collaboratively with two other Special Education teachers on creating a master schedule for the paraprofessionals working in our building. This master schedule is shared with staff through Google docs and has assisted the Special Education team when needing to quickly create a plan when a paraprofessional is absent without a substitute. This artifact is an example of the work I have done to strengthen my organizational leadership through ensuring management of the organization, operations, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment. *Names have been removed for confidentiality purposes.* |
